Cousins and Chuck E Cheese

Brayen has SEVERAL cousins...16 to be exact. Children ranging everywhere from 1 month old to 20 years old! Ryleah is one of those 16 cousins. She is almost 3 and Brayden gets to play with her just about everyday over my MIL's house. Ryleah makes him giggle, gives him hugs-they talk their own little language-and it just melts my heart to watch the two of them play. Ryleah tells him she loves him and that "her have pretty eyes". (She calls everyone "her"). Brayden follows her EVERYWHERE!

On Sunday this last weekend my MIL, SIL and family and I went to Erie to take the kids to CHUCK-E-CHEESE! This was Braydens first experience here, and he loved it. We could hardly keep up with him-he was so very over stimulated by ALL that was going on around him. Him and Ryleah went their seperate ways here and there, but at one point she found him again and I was able to capture some really cute photos. The first photo below Brayden turned around to find Ryleah behind him...he looked at her like; " Hey I know you". She giggled and tried to get Brayden to laugh-which he did.

We all had a really wonderful time...we were there for over 3 hours! Brayden was exhausted at the end of the night, and I took almost 300 pictures of this CEC experience. It was well worth it though. Then we headed back to my MIL's house for some corned beef and cabbage dinner in honor of St. Patrick's Day-then home to do tubby-jammies and snuggles with Brayden and Daddy-we can very well say the day was more than PERFECT.

Wordful Wednesday-Comparisons

(Click on the photo above to enlarge)
I know this is Wordful Wednesday, but these two photos make me quite speechless actually. I cannot believe how much he has grown. Here is Brayden on the same swing, at the same park, just a year apart-and I am astounded at the difference. Oh my! (sniffle sniffle).

Playing at Grandma's

This weekend Brayden got to play at Grandma's house on her back patio with all of the toys and the little playhouse. My MIL decided to climb in there and clean it out for him, and we got a few shots of her with the camera being silly (haha)! She is a hoot! Brayden jumped in Ryleah's (his cousin) Barbie Jeep and was having a blast outside in all the sunshine and warm weather. Brayden loves to be outside-free to play and explore. Here are some more fun pictures of his eventful weekend.

A weekend walk...

Brayden and Mommy went for a walk this weekend to Uncle Todd and Aunt Beth's (E & M) house. Brayden went right into their house and headed for the piano. Brayden then played with Uncle Todd and Aunt Beth and the girls and for awhile and I got to sit and have a nice visit with everyone. We snacked on crackers, cream cheese and pickles-a favorite of mine :-) I love simple moments spent with the people I love the most...makes for the perfect weekend.

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2009!

Happy St. Patty's Day from a very IRISH family :-) I love St. Patty's day! We went to our local parade this weekend to celebrate. It was a beautiful day and we could not think of a better way to start of a fun-filled weekend. Brayden has been a little under the weather so he was not his usually smiley self-but he was calm and relaxed and had a good time none-the-less. We got to see the river "go green" in honor of the Holiday...and I was IMPRESSED to say the least. We went with my sweet as can be sister in law April (Justin) and our niece Ryleah (Brayden's favorite little cousin playmate). We all had a really good time, and it was a fun filled family morning. Here are some pictures of the parade and the NEON GREEN river.

Mr. Hollywood

Brayden is infatuated with Sunglasses-as you can tell. Morning, noon and night-he feels a need to have them on. We tell him he's "Mr. Hollywood" when he puts them on...and these are the expressions that follow that simple-but-fun statement:

Thankyou for always making us giggle Mr. Hollywood :-) We love you.-Mommy and Daddy

PhotoStory Friday!

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

A Halloween Picture Story
Growing up my mother was a seamstress. She was and still is one of the most talented and creative people I know. I SHOULD dig out old pictures and scan them of costumes she has created and sewn in her day-and believe me, there are many. She worked for many years at the Theater and for the Summer Playhouses' designing and sewing costumes for everything from the Wizard of Oz to Damn Yankees! She is amazing.
She always used to teach me how to sew-but I really never thought I would have the ability to create things on a whim-in one night (as she did many many times), nor that my creations would be worthy of actually wearing. When I had Brayden, Ron challenged me to make my first "costume". His idea was this Baseball Glove-with Braydens head being the actual ball:

I pulled an all nighter making this thing-using nothing other than Ron's actual baseball glove to look at as I nervously created this in the dining room. I was bound and determined. When I finally finished it and actually fit Brayden into it-I called my mother with a HUGE "woot-woot" because I knew she would be SO proud of me...and she was ;-) Pictured here is Brayden being a totally pleasing-cooperative & (trusting) child-God Bless him ;-)

So...Halloween year II: We had a hard time coming up with any idea that would surpass the last year-and Ron wanted me to make something again! I ended up with the flu the week of Halloween and tried to come up with something ever.so.simple-that would still be familiar and fun! Jack Jack from the Incredibles it was...alas a simple project. Red Jammies with feet-some felt and voila-Mommy rocks! We even put some mousse in his hair for the whole mohawk affect! This costume only took me about two hours in the dining room-so I was more than pleased to say the least ;-)

Halloween #3: Grandma??? This year is all you :-)
